As Enery advances its staggering 1.5 GW project pipeline for 2026/2027, LONGi is actively working for 50% of this pipeline as the primary technology provider. This collaboration represents a powerful synergy between Enery’s rapid regional expansion and LONGi’s role as a trusted partner for next-generation solar technology.

The Ogrezeni mega-project: a benchmark for European infrastructure
The crown jewel of this 2026 pipeline is the Ogrezeni hybrid project in Giurgiu County, Romania, where Enery has officially commenced construction. Backed by a EUR 460 million syndicated green financing and supported by the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund (3SIIF), this landmark facility features a massive 761 MWp solar PV array paired with over 1 GWh of battery storage, making it one of Europe’s largest hybrid renewable energy projects.
Reflecting on the scale of the deployment, Alberto Martinez, Head of Construction and O&M of Enery, emphasized that technology selection and strong local support are absolute core to their execution strategy.

Tripartite synergy: unlocking elite local value
To bridge this world-class technology with local execution, Enery partnered with Romania’s ENEVO Group as the main Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor. This strategic tripartite synergy ensures that core engineering, construction, and materials are sourced locally to strengthen national supply-chain resilience, creating 350 jobs during peak construction.

Technical prowess: more power in less surface area
This ground-mounted project relies entirely on LONGi’s state-of-the-art technology, deploying a total of 1,167,120 ultra-premium Hi-Mo 9 modules. Driven by LONGi’s proprietary HPBC 2.0 (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) cell architecture, the module delivers up to 660 W peak power and an industry-leading efficiency of up to 24.8%. Its unique front-side 0BB (Zero Busbar) design optimizes light absorption, packing more power into less surface area to significantly lower Balance of System (BOS) costs while maintaining an ultra-low linear degradation rate over a 30-year lifecycle.

Environmental & social impact: powering the future
Scheduled for full energization in 2027 following the construction start in January 2026, the Ogrezeni hybrid facility will actively optimize clean energy generation and eliminate solar curtailment through its 1 GWh battery network. Once fully operational, the plant will generate enough price-stable electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 684,000 Romanian households while preventing roughly 303,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
