ENNA Group has obtained EUR 10 million through a bond issuance to develop its electric vehicle charging network.
Croatian company ENNA Group operates in the energy and logistics sectors. In the energy sector, it supplies electricity and natural gas, builds and invests in wind, solar, and geothermal power plants, and installs battery energy storage systems (BESS).
It recently entered the EV charger sector and currently has ten ultra-fast EV chargers in Croatia.
The bond was issued with a seven-year maturity
Privredna banka Zagreb, part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Banks Division, has arranged the mini bond issuance.
Acting as agent and sponsor of the EUR 10 million issuance, PBZ supported ENNA Group in financing its growth and development plans through this financial instrument, ENNA said.
The bond was issued with a seven-year maturity, semi-annual interest payments and a two-year grace period for principal repayment.
Ultra-fast charging stations will be located in high-traffic areas such as shopping center parking lots. ENNA claims it will provide the fastest EV charging in Croatia using green energy.
Napast: Natural continuation of our development of sustainable energy solutions
According to Boštjan Napast, President of the Management Board of ENNA Group, this is a strategically important step forward and a natural continuation of our development of sustainable energy solutions.
“The energy transition and the decarbonisation of transport are creating a growing need for a reliable, accessible, and efficient charging network, and we see ENNA Charge as an important contribution to the development of such infrastructure in Croatia,” he stressed.
The company believes that the development of high-quality and widely available infrastructure will be one of the key prerequisites for greater consumer confidence and stronger growth of the electric vehicle market in Croatia, in his words.
Lucić: Interest in this financial instrument remains strong
Dinko Lucić, President of the Management Board of PBZ, said that PBZ was the first bank to offer minibonds to its clients as part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Banks Division Minibond Initiative.
Interest in this financial instrument remains strong, while its increasingly widespread use among market participants in Croatia further confirms its relevance and potential, he added.
The meeting on the bond issuance was also attended by Anton Barbir, ENNA Group Member of the Management Board, Ana Zobec, ENNA Group Head of Finance, and Paolo Musso, PBZ Member of the Management Board, together with colleagues from Corporate Banking and the Capital Markets Team.
