In late August, Slovenia hosts an international gathering – the Young Bled Strategic Forum (Young BSF). Professionals aged 18-35 can apply by April 19 to attend the three-day event in Kranjska Gora.

Young BSF was launched in 2011 as a side event of the Bled Strategic Forum (BSF), bringing together students and young professionals. It has evolved into a participant-driven platform where bright young minds from around the world come together to share ideas and find inspiration to improve their communities, the initiators wrote.

This year’s edition is titled After the Rupture: Agency and Resilience in a Fragmented World. It aims to reflect on how individuals, institutions and societies interpret disruption and how their interpretations shape their ability to act, the organizers announced and highlighted the rupture in the international order.

Attendance free, all costs covered

The annual event in Slovenia will be held from August 28 to 30, with arrivals scheduled for August 27. Applications are open until April 19 – candidates fill out the form on the BSF website. Attendance is free and all costs are covered.

“If you are an activist, engineer, diplomat, philosopher, community organizer, writer, project manager, social media influencer, politician, teacher, architect, physician, researcher, entrepreneur, professional athlete, coder, diplomat, designer – whatever your calling or profession – if your mind is set on practical, bottom-up change, you can be a Young Bled Strategic Forum participant,” the call reads. The optimum is 35 people, according to the documentation.

By examining history, the principles worth defending, and the space for meaningful agency, the event seeks to better understand how young leaders can navigate uncertainty and help shape the future, the organizers explained.

Participants to attend Bled Strategic Forum after Young BSF

The participants will attend the two-day Bled Strategic Forum in Bled, starting on August 31.

Young BSF 2026 intends to host a gender-balanced group of individuals aged 18-35 who bring diverse and informed perspectives to the discussions. Participants will be selected from all continents, representing a variety of worldviews, educational backgrounds, and professional experiences, according to the announcement.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
