The Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development (CPOR) in partnership with the Swiss Cooperation Office (SECO) in the Republic of Serbia is organizing the conference “Women in Sustainable Energy – Leadership for Change”.

The conference will be held on March 28 at the Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel in Belgrade, starting at 09:30.

The WISE (Women in Sustainable Energy) expert network and the results of mapping women professionally engaged in sustainable energy, climate change and environmental protection will be presented at the conference.

The conference will also feature a presentation of the results of research on the roles, attitudes and positions of women professionally engaged in the sector of sustainable energy, climate change and environmental protection, as well as women in households. Over a thousand women from all over Serbia took part in this research.

Apart from the promotion of women’s leadership in the sustainable energy, climate change and environment sector, the goal of this event is to facilitate women’s networking and to further strengthen and encourage their future actions and engagement in sectors of increasing importance for the sustainable development of the country.

The conference “Women in Sustainable Energy – Leadership for Change” is being organized as part of the WISE SEE (Women in Sustainable Energy in South-East Europe) project financed by the Swiss Cooperation Office (SECO) and supported by the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), and the Energy Community.

Participation is free for members of the WISE network and invitees, otherwise, EUR 50 charge will apply.
