Energy solutions provider Aggreko, with headquarters in Glasgow, Scotland, has acquired Slovenian energy services firm Resalta.

The company said Resalta is one of the largest independent energy efficiency and renewable solutions providers in Central and Eastern Europe. It brings expertise in solar power and biomass, gas-fired combined heat and power facilities and heat pumps, cooling, and other energy efficiency measures.

Aggreko noted that it invests in renewable energy solutions and pointed out that the new deal reinforces its commitment to supporting its customers through the energy transition.

The company based in Glasgow also offers battery energy storage systems.

Resalta: Our team and leadership structure will remain unchanged

Resalta said that, with a global presence and a mission to support the energy transition through sustainable solutions, Aggreko’s values align perfectly with its own.

Under new ownership, Resalta will continue to grow and develop projects throughout CEE and abroad, according to its announcement.

“Our team and leadership structure will remain unchanged, and we remain more committed than ever to support the region’s ever-so-urgent decarbonization journey,” the firm added.

Aggreko, a global provider of energy solutions, was established in 1962, Resalta said. According to the statement, It has over 6,000 employees across 65 countries.

BlackPeak Capital: Resalta will continue to lead the decarbonization agenda

BlackPeak Capital, one of Resalta’s shareholders, congratulated the company’s CEO, Luka Komazec and the entire team, saying they built it from a startup to a recognized European player.

The investment fund stressed, “We remain confident that the new partnership and Aggreko’s global reach will enable Resalta’s team to continue to lead the decarbonization agenda. ”

Resalta was the fund’s first investment in Slovenia.

Apart from BlackPeak Capital, Resalta’s shareholders include PostScriptum Ventures, Energetika Ljubljana, the European Investment Fund (EIF), SID banka, and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

BlackPeak Capital said AFRY Capital Limited, Schoenherr Attorneys at Law, and Deloitte helped make this transaction possible.
