Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP Group) is preparing a tender for a EUR 110 million investment consisting of projects for a wind park and a solar power plant in Croatia. The locations are in the Dalmatia region in the south.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development revealed in a notice published on its EBRD Client e-Procurement Portal (ECEPP) that Croatian state-owned power utility HEP Group is working on a project for a wind farm and photovoltaic plant, worth a combined EUR 110 million. The lender added that it may finance the endeavor with up to EUR 100 million.

According to the document, the investment would consist of projects for solar power plant Sukošan and wind park Zelovo, both in the Dalmatia peninsula. The company recently completed its first hybrid power plant, Korlat, in the same area.

Sukošan, located in the eponymous municipality, would have 56 MW in peak capacity and a 45 MW connection. The project includes an option for a battery energy storage system of up to 200 MWh. The location is near the city of Zadar, just west of Korlat.

Wind power project Zelovo is for 36 MW in nominal capacity and a 30 MW connection, the notice reads. The site, southeast from Korlat in inland Dalmatia, spans the municipalities of Muć, Hrvace and Sinj.

EBRD listed goods, works and consultancy in the procurement type. The estimated public call date is March 31.
