Location licence will be awarded soon to French investor IEL OIE Balkan Renewable Energy and the projects are underway for a wind park, says Nemanja Đukić from the Kikinda Municipality Council, daily paper Dnevnik said.

He added the 50 MW facility is planned to be launched by 2017. The wind park in Bašaid, according to municipal regulation, will be built on a 530 hectare area, and the investment is worth EUR 50 million, the report said. Đukić added Kikinda already has a solar power plant and that it attracted more interest among investors.
