Bajazit Jašarević, chief executive of Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine dd (Electric Utility of Bosnia and Herzegovina – EPBiH), and Senad Salkić, chief capital investment officer of the utility, signed a contract on connecting wind park Podveležje to 110 kV transmission network with Matan Zarić, head of Transco (Elektroprenos-Elektroprijenos BiH ad), and Cvjetko Žepinić, its director for system operation and maintenance.

EPBiH said the value of contracted works and services is BAM 2.7 million (EUR 1.38 million). It includes the construction of a power transmission line including route selection, preparation and revision of the main project for the construction, obtaining necessary approvals, licenses and permits, resolving property issues, procurement and installation of materials and equipment, connecting substation Podveležje into the optical cable system, technical inspection and acceptance of works, obtaining use permit and commissioning of the highline in operation, the statement adds.

Connecting the power plant to the network will be based on the entrance-exit principle. The unit will be linked to a 110 kV transmission line from Jablanica hydropower facility to Mostar 2 substation, and for that it is necessary to build a 110 kV double-circuit highline at a distance of about 2.5 kilometres, documentation shows.

The deadline for the works is the end of May 2018, the state-owned utility said.
