Sustainable Energy Days are a set of activities and events from next month to June under the umbrella of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), which will this year be held from June 20 to 22. The invitation for local, public and private organizations is open until June 15. Applications for participating in the Energy Fair can be submitted by March 2.

EUSEW is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. The series of activities aim to bring together the people who care about a secure and clean energy future for the next generations.

The first EUSEW was held in 2007. Since 2021, it is organized by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in close cooperation with the European Union’s Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER).

Sustainable Energy Days

Anyone can organize a Sustainable Energy Day anywhere in the world, as long as the activity highlights the importance of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The invitation for organizers lasts until June 15 for events that need to be held from March to June. According to the procedure, an account must first be created at the EUSEW event platform, after which a Sustainable Energy Day can be registered via an online form.

Organizers have registered 113 events so far

Registering an event or activity means it becomes part of EUSEW 2023 and it will be listed on the website and marked on the map. Organizers have so far applied with 113 events.

In the context of the European Year of Skills in 2023, Sustainable Energy Days tackling upskilling European citizens for a clean energy transition are particularly encouraged. The concept includes investments in training and specialization and raising awareness of the energy transition among all generations.

Sustainable Energy Days are an opportunity for anyone interested to share their ideas and solutions and initiate a debate within their communities and with decision makers, EUSEW said and called on organizations to show how they are playing an active role in achieving the European Union’s energy and climate goals.

Energy Fair

The participants at the EUSEW Energy Fair, which complements the high-level Policy Conference, can set up a stand and present their activities. The event enables them to network in order to improve and develop ideas.

The applications for participating in the fair and hosting a stand can be submitted until March 2. EU institutions and bodies and stakeholders that are contributing to the development and implementation of sustainable energy policy in Europe can all be standholders.

The Energy Fair is offering a limited number of stands to achieve optimal exhibitor visibility. Standholders are obligated to be present at the fair throughout EUSEW.
