The Energy Community Secretariat is seeking consultants to comprehensively assess the flexibility needs of the power systems of the contracting parties.
The document should propose solutions that will facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources and support the transition to a carbon-neutral energy sector in a cost-efficient and secure way, the secretariat said.
The study is expected to be conducted between September 2021 and April 2022. All eligible bidders are invited to submit their proposal not later than July 23.
According to the contract notice, the goal of the study is to comprehensively assess flexibility needs and solutions in the power systems of the Energy Community contracting parties.
The term flexibility in this context means the ability of all power system resources and facilities, including generation, storage, interconnectors, and demand response, to adjust the electricity output and consumption to maintain nominal frequency at all times, the secretariat added.
