Power utilities Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske and Elektroprivreda HZ HB have agreed to extend their cooperation regarding production in the pumped-storage hydropower plant (PHE) Čapljina.

The framework agreement on cooperation between the two companies was signed by Luka Petrović, General Manager of Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS), and Marinko Gilja, General Manager of Elektroprivreda HZ HB (EPHZHB).

The agreement between the two power companies refers to the framework cooperation related to the allocation of electricity generated in PHE Čapljina from the regulated water release at the Gorica dam of ERS’s Trebinje II hydropower plant, ERS said on its website.

The agreement refers to the period until December 31, 2020.

After 15 years, ERS and EPHZHB signed a production agreement for PHE Čapljina in March last year. The continuation of this cooperation was agreed already once, in November 2019.
