Croatia’s Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (EPEEF) should invite applications by the end of the year for two rounds of funding to back the installation of rooftop photovoltaic power stations, EPEEF Deputy Director Alenka Košiša Čičin-Šain said.

“Two public invitations should be launched by the end of the year for installing rooftop photovoltaic power stations, the larger of which, worth EUR 30 million, will finance rooftop PV systems on individuals’ buildings,” Košiša Čičin-Šain said, according to a report on weekly Lider’s website.

Speaking at a conference on Croatia’s energy future on June 5, organized by Lider, she also said that an invitation will be issued in about 10 days to legal entities to apply for incentives for electric vehicles (EV), after a round for individuals recently closed.

Meanwhile, Energetika-Net reported that the EPEEF will also secure about EUR 150,000 (HRK 1.1 million) in financing for project documentation for EV charging stations and provide about EUR 1.35 million (HRK 10 million) in incentives to build EV charging stations.

Croatia currently has around 230 EV charging stations.
