EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) has been raising awareness on the importance of renewable energy sources and efficient energy use in Europe for 12 editions already. But, the EUSEW extends beyond the week itself. There are Energy Days in May and June.

The tagline for the 13th edition Lead the clean energy transition is designed to encourage even more sustainable energy-related activities throughout Europe.

In May and June, those who plan to organize an event relating to sustainable energy, energy efficiency or renewables, can sign up to feature on the Energy Days Map. The interactive map is the perfect illustrator of the potential of grassroots activities and the power of working together on the transition to clean energy.

Energy Days can be organized by citizens, consumer associations, public bodies, city networks, energy agencies, trade and industry organizations, businesses, and NGOs, and take any shape or form.

From guided visits for the general public at companies, public administrations, private homes or other organizations that use renewable energy sources or implement energy-efficient technologies to opening ceremonies, inaugurations, exhibitions, fairs, open days, breakfast and lunch seminars – you can choose your format for one’s own Energy Day.

Activities and events take place throughout the 28 EU member states. Organisers can prepare an Energy Day for any size of area – from a local community to an entire region. Activities can take place in public or private buildings or even the open air. Previous events have been held in schools, market squares, conference centers, and many other places.

There is no deadline, however, the earlier you feature as an Energy Day, the more visibility your event will have, the organizer said in its statement.

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2018 will take place from June 4 to June 8. The EU Sustainable Energy Week features leading figures and a diverse program of sessions, networking and side-events aimed at discussing and shaping Europe’s energy future, from new policy development to sustainable energy ideas.
