The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina has published a call for co-financing of biomass heating projects in the public buildings in this province in northern Serbia.

The call is open until  July 21, 2017, the Secretariat of Energy, Construction and Transport of Vojvodina announced.

The total value of grants is EUR 166,000, while the maximum amount per a project is around EUR 33,000.

The funds will be allocated to projects aimed at the installation of energy-efficient equipment for biomass, reducing the dependence of fossil fuels imports, increasing energy independence of the public institutions, reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, as well as affirmation of the use of renewable energy sources and revitalization of existing heating systems in the public institutions.

The grants will be allocated for the purchase and installation of new boilers for biomass with associated installations and for the adaptation of existing heating systems on fossil fuels, with the addition of new biomass boilers.

The costs of necessary electrical equipment for the automated or semi-automated operation of the boiler will be covered.

Funds cannot be used for construction works, purchase of used equipment and materials, or for payment of taxes and customs.

Public institutions with a seat in the province of Vojvodina can apply for the grants.
