The German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ and the Center for Promotion of Sustainable Development are organizing the annual event of the WISE Serbia women’s network. It will be held on October 7 at the Fabrika Events venue in Belgrade.

WISE Serbia promotes women’s active participation and role in sustainable energy, focusing on the energy transition, democratization and decentralization as well as related fields where climate action and environmental protection intersect with energy, creating a nexus. The network currently consists of 220 women professionally engaged in the sectors through various professions and careers.

Attendance at the event is free for WISE Serbia members and by invitation. The registration fee for other interested parties is EUR 50. You can register until October 3 via this link or until all spots are filled. The event starts at 5 PM at Fabrika Events, 32 Poenkareova Street.

Applications for this year’s Female Leader in Sustainable Energy award are closed, and public voting will be open from September 23 on the WISE Serbia website. Take the opportunity to support a woman you consider a leader in sustainable energy with your vote.

The event will feature a presentation of the shortlisted candidates, followed by the award ceremony for the winner.

Maja Turković, Executive Vice President at CWP Europe and the recipient of the Female Leader in Sustainable Energy Award 2023, will moderate the panel discussion “Women’s power, knowledge, and vision for a successful energy transition in Serbia”.

The WISE Serbia women network was launched in 2o18. It is being manged by the civil society organization Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development – CPOR, and supported by the Germany’s International Cooperation Agency GIZ, within the project Promotion of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency in Serbia.
