Former mayor of Lezhë Viktor Tushaj has become director of the National Agency of National Resources (NANR), replacing Dael Dervishi, who resigned stating personal reasons. Namely, the former head went to the United States where he is to participate in a scientific programme.

Tushaj graduated the Italian language from the University of Tirana and also holds degrees in law and tourism, the agency added in the statement.

Except for two mayorship mandates, he was president of the Chambers of commerce and industry in the district of Lezhë, a town and municipality of the same name in north-west Albania.
