The Ministry of Infrastructure plans to announce public calls for subsidies for the use of renewables in district heating, as well as the installation of small solar power plants, and small wind farms. The funding will be available to companies, entrepreneurs, and cooperatives only.

The public calls for granting state aid for renewable energy projects will be announced in March, according to the website of the Slovenia’s Ministry of Infrastructure.

An estimated EUR 16 million will go towards co-financing renewable district heating projects.

The aid will be available for boilers of up to 10 MW in district heating systems

The incentives will be approved for investments in new district heating and micro systems using renewable energy sources, as well as for the expansion of such systems. The aid will be available for boilers of up to 10 MW in district heating systems, and up to 1 MW for micro systems.

The ministry will allocate EUR 10 million for the construction of new small-scale solar photovoltaic facilities.

Companies, entrepreneurs, and cooperatives can receive up to 3% of the investment in solar, wind

Companies, entrepreneurs, and cooperatives can receive up to 3% of the investment in renewable energy projects. Eligible costs are the purchase and installation of devices for the use of solar energy, including energy storage devices.

The same portion of costs will be covered for the construction of wind power plants with an installed capacity from 50 kW to 10 MW. The ministry will allocate EUR 4 million for this purpose.
