It outlines measures and activities towards the Green Agenda, carbon neutrality, sustainable development, protection of natural resources reduction of pollution, and improvement of the quality of life for all citizens.

The strategy incorporates goals of the Green Agenda, the Sofia Declaration signed by Serbia in November 2020, and measures for further alignement with the regulations and standards of the European Union. The document also contains mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of the strategy.
