On May 6, the Croatian Power Exchange (CROPEX) will organize auctions for the purchase of energy to cover transmission system losses in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 via the CROPEX trading platform.

This was agreed between Croatian transmission system operator (TSO) Hrvatski operator prenosnog sistema (HOPS) and CROPEX.

The application for participation in the auctions must be submitted by Thursday, April 25 at 13:00.

All interested parties, in accordance with the “Auction rules for purchase of energy to cover the transmission system losses in the years for 2020, 2021 and 2022 via the CROPEX trading platform,” are invited to submit a request for participation in the auction for purchasing energy to cover losses, CROPEX said on its website.

HOPS will in cooperation with CROPEX, via the CROPEX trading platform, select winning bidders for the products defined in the following form:

  • Group 1: energy delivery to cover transmission system losses in 2020;
  • Group 2: energy delivery to cover transmission system losses in 2021;
  • Group 3: energy delivery to cover transmission system losses in 2022.
