Croatia’s energy storage company Rimac Energy has recently opened a 1,850-square-meter facility in the United Kingdom to house its rapidly growing team in the country and serve as a technological innovation hub.

Rimac Energy, a pioneer in advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS), is a brand of Rimac Technology, part of Rimac Group. It specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing innovative stationary energy storage systems solutions in Europe.

The facility in Witney, Oxfordshire, will manufacture the company’s next-generation BESS and create more than 70 high-skilled jobs for engineers, technicians, and researchers for the UK tech industry and Oxfordshire region, Rimac Energy said.

According to the company, the new state-of-the-art location underscores its commitment to the global clean energy market and emphasizes seamless collaboration between its teams in Croatia and Britain.

Rimac Energy Director Wasim Sarwar Dilov said the country has always been at the forefront of technological innovation and that the firm is thrilled to be expanding its footprint there.

“We’re proud to strengthen the Croatia-UK partnership, support the local community, and are excited to be able to tap into the incredible engineering talent pool in the region to help us build a greener future for the planet,” he stressed.

SineStack pushes the limits of what grid-tied batteries can offer customers

Recently the company unveiled SineStack, showcasing the future of clean, efficient battery energy storage. Designed and manufactured in Europe, it stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to driving the clean energy revolution and bolstering grid resilience for the future, Rimac Technology added.

Earlier, Wasim Sarwar Dilov said SineStack pushes the limits of what grid-tied batteries can offer customers. He also noted that the company is ramping up its European production to meet demand.

Both Rimac Technology and Rimac Energy are headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia.
