A photovoltaic plant with an estimated capacity of 3 MW, with 12,500 panels and 50 inverters is to be built in Turkey by EWE Turkey Holding AŞ. The statement of the German manufacturer’s subsidiary, reported by Anadolu Agency’s Energy News Terminal, adds the solar farm worth EUR 3.6 million will be situated in the Kayseri district of central Anatolia, covering an area of 52,000 square metres.
The project started in August and is expected to supply electricity to over 2,000 homes, EWE stated and estimated production should reach 5 GWh per year.
“With the investment of EWE Turkey Holding in Kayseri, which is one of the most efficient cities in Turkey in terms of solar radiation, the way for new renewable energy projects will be opened,” the statement read, adding that the company will unwaveringly continue its investments through new technologies in the country in which it had a presence for the last 10 years.
