GreenWay Network plans to install more than 300 ultra-fast chargers for electric vehicles in Croatia. There are currently more than 870 EV chargers in the country.

GreenWay Network is a subsidiary of GreenWay Holding, headquartered in Poland. The company plans to install more than 300 ultra-fast chargers in the next three to five years, local media reported.

The investment is estimated at EUR 30 million and the installation of the first chargers is set to start in January. The location of the first station is in the town of Slunj.

Novosel: Chargers will have a capacity from 100 kW to 400 kW

Dino Novosel, CEO of the GreenWay Network and member of the Board of Directors of GreenWay Group, said the EV chargers would have a capacity ranging from 100 kW to 400 kW. They will be located on strategic corridors, in urban areas, and at commercial facilities.

With 34 chargers per 100,000 inhabitants, Croatia is currently 20 times weaker than the most developed market in the European Union – the Netherlands, and three times under the EU average.

Prpić: The number of chargers in Croatia is at a relatively good level

Hrvoje Prpić, president of the Strujni Krug association, stressed that the number of chargers in Croatia is relatively good as regards the number of electric vehicles.

The electric vehicle market is recording significant sales growth every year, so it is very important to have charging infrastructure in place, so that the country is ready to meet the challenges, he stressed.

GreenWay’s network of charging stations includes more than 1,000 chargers. The firm also provides charging services at more than 78,000 stations in 25 EU markets.

It is not only about the number of EV in Croatia, but also about the tourists who travel to Croatia by the EV cars… and one 50 kW every 50-70 km on the highway is way to little

Even Tesla is very weak in Croatia, no superchargers near Dubrovnik so impossible to drive further to Montenegro and Albania
