The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), the largest European annual gathering focused on renewable sources and efficient energy use, will take place from June 11 to 13. It will be in a hybrid format, at two locations in Brussels and with online streaming. The slogan for the 18th week dedicated to sustainable energy is ‘Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe’.
EUSEW 2024 will consist of a series of events headlined by a high-level policy conference. The organizers said it is more than a mere series of informative sessions and that it has evolved over the years into a “convergence of energy-conscious minds, a space for networking, and collaboration that extends beyond geographical boundaries.”
Experts in the field of sustainable energy can submit their proposals by January 19 for policy sessions on legal frameworks, best practices, and ideas. They are organized by the European Commission and key stakeholders active in the field of sustainable energy.
Open applications for EUSEW Awards
EUSEW Awards recognize individuals and projects for their innovations and efforts in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. They are awarded in three categories: innovations, local energy action, and woman in energy. Applications are open until February 1.
One of the conference’s significant segments is the European Youth Energy Day. Participants between 18 and 34 will gather to share their visions and ideas for transforming Europe into the first climate-neutral continent.
The Energy Fair provides an additional networking opportunity. The call for setting up a booth at the fair will be open from January 16.
Sustainable Energy Days
Everyone unable to participate in the activities in Brussels can register their own live or online event as part of Sustainable Energy Days. They take place worldwide, promoting clean energy and energy efficiency.
EUSEW is open to international organizations, university associations, national and local authorities, professional associations, non-governmental organizations working in sustainable development, consumer associations, research organizations and projects funded by the European Union and many other institutions.
