Green energy investors from around the world have the opportunity to boost their renewable energy portfolio with a unique biotech cluster in Serbia.  The cluster includes a fully operational biogas power plant, a second facility under construction, and its own on-site feedstock production.

Serbia Biotech Cluster operates a 1 MW biogas power plant with an annual production capacity of 8,300 kWh. The feed-in tariff of 20.7 euro cents per kWh is guaranteed for 12 years, enabling annual electricity sales of EUR 1.7 million.

The feed-in tariff is guaranteed for 12 years, both for operating and a power plant under construction

The new biogas facility under construction is 20% finished and has a feed-in tariff secured.

The feedstock material for the biogas plant is produced on-site, on 500 hectares of corn and wheat fields, shielding the project from market volatility and ensuring high-return electricity generation.

Developing the planned 10,000 m2 greenhouse would enable the investor to utilize 1.2 MW of thermal energy capacity, which is currently unused.

The potential investor can opt for acquiring the entire business as is or agree to let the operator complete and put into operation the second biogas plant and the greenhouse.

1.2 MW of currently unused thermal energy capacity could be utilized

The owner of the Serbia Biotech Cluster has been present in the Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina markets since 2007. The company has developed ten greenfield investments and five energy projects in the two countries.
