The aid will be granted in the form of reimbursement of expenses, and it cannot exceed EUR 167,000 per MWh of storage and EUR 15 million per applicant, said Popescu.

The rojects must be implemented by the end of 2025

The projects must be implemented by the end of 2025.  According to the ministry, the plan is to have at least 480 MWh of power storage online then.

The government will subsidize the purchase of equipment for the construction of new electricity storage capacities in batteries, and the construction of the facilities. Eligible applicants are micro, small or medium-sized enterprises and large companies.
