Works on the reconstruction of the 110 kV transmission line Mostar 4 – Široki Brijeg – Grude are finished. After an internal technical acceptance process it was put into operation, transmission operator Transco (Elektroprenos-Elektroprijenos Bosne i Hercegovine a.d.) announced on its website.

The landline is a part of a former Kraljevac–Mostar line, built on reinforced concrete columns that are in operation for more than 60 years, so it was necessary to do a comprehensive overhaul in order to preserve the pillars and to increase transmission power, safety and reliability of the line.

Management of Transco, headquartered in Banja Luka, selected the consortium of Dalekovod d.o.o. Mostar and Dalekovod d.d. Zagreb as the best bidder and contractor, the company stated.

Total length of the reconstructed transmission lines is 26.75 kilometers and 99 reinforced concrete columns were rehabilitated, while a few of them, due to deterioration, were replaced with new pipe polygonal pillars. The works started in May last year, while the value of this investment project is BAM 2.92 million (EUR 1.49 million), the company said.
