Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT) presented the Feitmobile, the prototype of a go-kart which runs on electric power, Emagazin.mk reported. Vice dean Hristina Spasevska said the institution is proud of EL-KA, team of 15 students who collaborated for 10 months in the design of the vehicle. The Feitmobile has an electric engine which runs on energy provided by a battery, she added.

The project of a total of three years focuses on the propulsion design, electronic parts and accompanying elements. When the endeavour is complete, the kart is expected to include a recharging system which utilizes the energy from braking.

The students who work on Feitmobile study the faculty’s programme for power engineering, automation and renewable energy sources. Their mentors are professors Goga Cvetkovski and Snežana Čundeva. Ivan Spaseski from EL-KA said companies including Tab Mak, Atlantik, Deko, and Agrooprema supported the project.

Feitmobile has a direct current engine of nominal capacity of 2.5 kW and the autonomy of half an hour.
