Last month households in Montenegro consumed 87 GWh of electricity, 20.6% less than in the previous month and 9.5% under the level from April of last year, state-owned utility Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) stated on its website.

The average electricity bill for households, excluding non-read metering points in buildings not permanently resided, amounted to EUR 29.05. Households in Žabljak recorded the lowest average consumption, EUR 18.03, and the highest consumption during the previous month was recorded in Kotor, where households, on average, consumed electricity for EUR 36.14. A bill exceeding EUR 150 is delivered to 0.51% of customers, and consumption of EUR 100 to EUR 150 was measured at 1.05%. The discounted bills for regular payers will be delivered to 47.2% of Montenegrin households or 155.845 customers, EPCG stated.

The company has initiated prize contest Let the Good Energy Drive You 2. One Ford Focus car is awarded in each round. All households without electricity debt at the end of month are entitled to participate, the statement adds.
