Liria gets licences for power from 2.3 MW hydro project

With the publication of the official journal, company Liria Energji sh.p.k. was granted licences to produce electricity at hydropower plant Shpella Poshtë 2 with the capacity of 2.3 MW for 30 years. According to documents adopted by Albanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ERE), the enterprise is now also eligible to market and supply electrical energy for five years. AE Distribution sh.p.k.’s applications to market and supply power were also registered.

As determined in documents dated April 29, the regulator started the procedure necessary for the issuance of the same licences to Xhengo Energji sh.p.k. for 4 MW hydro project Kasollet e Selcës. Daab Energy Group sh.p.k.’s applications were also received for 2.4 MW plant Dobrenjë – Tomorricë.

Devoll Hydropower sh.a. also filed for a supply licence. Norwegian Statkraft’s project in Albania launched the filling of the Banja reservoir on April 15. Following the final approval from the National Committee of Large Dam (NCLD), Devoll closed the bottom outlet and initiated the process.
