Vjetroelektrana Budva, owned by German renewable company wpd, has asked the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism to issue urban and technical requirements for the construction of wind farm Brajići.

The installed capacity of the Brajići wind farm will be 100 MW, and the planned investment is estimated at EUR 101.3 million. The power plant will operate without state incentives and guaranteed prices.

The wind farm will be built in the municipalities of Budva and Bar

According to the request sent by local firm Vjetroelektrana Budva, the power plants will be located in the municipalities of Budva and Bar, in the cadastral municipalities of Reževići II, Kuljača, Utrg, Otovčići, Tomići, Brčeli and Brajići, which are all covered by the spatial plan for the coastal area of Montenegro, Vijesti reported.

The project documentation will name the cadastral parcels on the basis of the land lease agreement signed in August last year between Vjetroelektrana Budva and the Ministry of Economy.

The spatial plan envisages the construction of wind power plants on the leased land, while the company has conducted necessary wind potential measurements.

According to the Central Register of Business Entities, Vjetroelektrana Budva was established by German renewable company WPD Europe, holding 80 percent, and the rest is in hands of Golub Senić, the executive director.
