Siemens, Belgrade reach deal on business cooperation

Siniša Mali, mayor of Serbia’s capital city, and representatives of Germany’s Siemens AG signed an agreement on business and technical cooperation in the field of technical infrastructure, energy sustainability and transportation, Belgrade administration said. “The City of Belgrade puts great efforts into modernization and sustainable development and this is why, for instance, we completed the procurement of five electric buses… We are trying to create a sustainable city and I am confident the agreement with Siemens will help us to a great extend, he stressed.

The mayor reminded the German company is famous for technical improvements, quality and reliability of products, as for energy sector services, transport and information technologies, all of which, integrated, enable sustainable development of bigger cities. Udo Eichlinger, general manager of the Siemens’s subsidiary in Serbia, said the City of Belgrade acknowledged the significance of including a tech partner in the early phase of development planning.
