First wind kilowatt-hours in Mesihovina to be produced by end-2016

Near the village of Gornji Brišnik, 20 kilometres from the municipality seat of Tomislavgrad, the construction of the first wind turbine is planned to start next spring, Anadolu Agency said.

By the end of 2016, according to plan, the electricity produced shall be fed to the grid. Wind power project Vjetroelektrana Mesihovina, worth EUR 78 million, is for 22 turbines of 2.5 MW each, the report said.

Utility Elektroprivreda HZ HB dd from Mostar is investing EUR 6 million, while the rest comes from loans. The company plans to build 33 to 36 wind turbines in Poklečani, in the municipality of Posušje, as well as more aeolic capacity at Velika Vlajna near Mostar and at Borova glava between Livno and Tomislavgrad.
