Croatia’s Dalekovod Group has signed contracts for three projects with Slovenia’s transmission system operator ELES. The investment is estimated at EUR 59.5 million.

The projects will be implemented by a consortium Dalekovod Ljubljana, Elektrotehna Elex and C&G.

Upon completion, two power sections of lines will connect Hungarian and Slovenian transmission networks at a voltage level of 400 kV and thus increase the capacity of both transmission systems and provide preconditions for future energy projects, according to a statement on the Dalekovod website.

Two power lines are part of the first transmission line between Slovenia and Hungary

The Cirkovce-Pince project includes the construction of a total of 80-kilometers long, double 400 kV transmission line, to will be completed in 2022. Works on the reconstruction and construction of 220 kV transmission line Cirkovce-Žerjavinec are scheduled for the second part of 2020.

Two power lines are part of the first transmission line between Slovenia and Hungary. The interconnection project has received money from the EU.

The Cirkovce-Pince power line is also one of the 19 energy projects on the list of the investments to restart the Slovenian economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dalekovod Group is already conducting preparatory works for the reconstruction of the double 400 kV transmission line Beričevo-Okroglo, with a total length of 32.5 kilometers.
