The supervisory board of Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske  (ERS) accepted the resignations of the ERS management board and appointed new members. Radmila Čičković is new acting director of the ERS.

The management board – acting director Željko Kovačević, his deputy Branislav Milekić, and members Maksim Skoko, Blagoje Šupić and Nenad Radović – resigned over losses which cannot be accounted for.

While explaining the resignations, the prime minister of the Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović said ERS had recorded a loss in 2017 that couldn’t be “objectively explained,” SRNA news agency reported. “It is our commitment to take such action when you have losses which you can’t objectively explain,” she added.

Radmila Čičković, who succeeded Željko Kovačević as acting director, took office on April 23. Before that, she was the Director of the Republika Srpska Institute of Statistics.

The supervisory board of the ERS also appointed Dragoljub Reljić for acting director for legal affairs and Darko Milunović for acting director for economic and financial affairs. The other members are expected to be appointed soon.
