Green startups and entrepreneurs interested in joining the Europe’s largest clean-tech accelerator – Climate-KIC Accelerator, can apply until April 3. Within the same project, the EU Pioneer into Practice program (PiP) invites professionals interested in exchanging green expertise, either as guests or hosts, to apply by April 15th.
This, third edition of start-up Accelerator is open for innovators with breakthrough ideas to counter climate change. Eligible applicants are early-stage startups (up to three years) or teams willing to create a startup based around a new technology or service with high potential for both commercial viability and climate impact.
In addition to expert coaching, pitch training, workshops, mentoring and networking, and international bootcamp, applicants have a chance to get financial support up to EUR 50,000 per team, depending on the stage.
The call is now open for applications for start-ups in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
If there are startups and entrepreneurs from Croatia, Greece, Lithuania, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, or Montenegro interested in applying they are welcome to do that but they have to make sure to attend all compulsory program components in one of the nine respective countries.
Climate-KIC is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.

Pioneers in Practice (PiP) programme
Pioneers into Practice is Europe’s only knowledge development and placement program aimed at climate change professionals. As Climate-KIC’s professional mobility program it brings together professionals from industry, small companies, universities, research institutes, local councils as well as nonprofit and public organizations.
Operating in fifteen European locations, the Pioneers program runs from May through to November and consists of a 4 to 6 weeks placement (domestic or international), bespoke transitions thinking & systems innovation mentoring delivered through a structured workshop program and online training.
