American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia establishes Energy Committee

The American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham) has established the Energy Committee with aim to promote dialogue on improving the energy regulatory framework and its implementation. Several companies from Europe and Serbia are also members of the committee.

AmCham representatives informed Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antić about the formation of that committee at a meeting on Tuesday, the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia announced.

They said that they intend to establish constructive dialogue with all relevant state institutions in order to improve the regulatory framework in the field of energy and its efficient implementation.

Members of the committee are also renowned non-US companies, such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, NIS, MK Fintel Wind, Continental Wind.

Antić said that the goals of the newly formed committee are extremely important and that the Ministry of Mining and Energy will provide the necessary support to enable cooperation with the Committee in the interests of all parties.

He pointed out that Serbia has improved the regulatory framework in the field of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, adding that this provides safe environment for investment in these areas for companies that are members of the AmCham.
