The Government of Croatia has appointed Ivo Milatić and Mile Horvat as state secretaries at the Croatian Ministry of Environment and Energy.

Milatić is former Assistant Minister of Economy who has served two terms as Director of Commodity Reserves Directorate. From 2012 to 2014, he was the Chairman of the Croatian Compulsory Oil Stocks Agency’s Governing Council. He has Bachelor degree in Economics.

Milatić confirmed to the portal Energetika-net that he will assume his duties this week. His priority, he said, is to organize a team of collaborators without radical changes in order to tackle numerous problems in the sector.

Horvat, a lawyer by training, has been the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS)’s MP in Croatian parliament since 2008. Horvat has occupied several management positions in the forestry and environment protection sectors.

In early June Tomislav Ćorić was appointed Minister of Environment and Energy of Croatia. The cabinet was reshuffled after the formation of the new ruling coalition between Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and Croatian People’s Party (HNS).
