In the second episode of Perspective video feature Filip Radović, director of the Serbian Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), speaks about the establishment of the budget-based Green Fund which will provide relevant stakeholders including companies active in green economy and NGO sector with the funds for the development of the projects in the field of environmental protection.
According to Radović, the Fund for Environmental Protection will be established in January 2017 and fed by the collection of environmental fees for emissions that are released into the water, air and soil and by the fees coming from specific waste streams.
“SEPA in cooperation with the ministry in charge has taken a series of measures with the aim to increase the collection of environmental fees which yielded dramatic results in the past two or three years,” Radović said.
