The Post of Serbia has added 100 new electric delivery vehicles to its fleet. The company announced that using electric vehicles will save millions of euros.

One hundred new electric vehicles significantly improve delivery efficiency and accelerate the transition to a modern, environmentally sustainable logistics system, according to state-owned logistics company and postal service Post of Serbia.

The company purchased Cenntro (EC35V – Logistar 210V) and Avantier (Commuter X), intended for all types of shipments in urban and suburban areas. The vehicles have been deployed within 28 branch offices across Serbia including Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Kraljevo, and Užice, in line with the operational needs of the system.

Acting director of the Post of Serbia Zoran Anđelković underscored that by introducing electric vehicles for delivery, the company is taking an important step toward modernizing its operations and further improving its logistics network.

By June 7, the Post of Serbia Day, the fleet will be further renewed

Electric delivery vehicles enable more efficient work organization in urban environments, reduce operational costs, and contribute to sustainable development, he explained.

In parallel, the renewal of the conventional part of the fleet is also underway to ensure a stable and reliable delivery system throughout all parts of Serbia, Anđelković added.

He announced that by June 7, the Serbia Post Day, the fleet will be further renewed, with a total of 538 new vehicles planned, 438 of which will be electric. A new tender for the procurement of electric vehicles will be launched soon.

The investment in electric delivery vehicles is estimated at RSD 1.4 billion

Anđelković pointed out that this year alone, the introduction of electric vehicles will bring significant savings by reducing fuel costs by about EUR 3.3 million, while also making a significant contribution to environmental protection.

The value of this investment in electric delivery vehicles is estimated at RSD 1.4 billion (EUR 12 million), he added.

The one hundred vehicles were immediately put into operation.

As part of the overall fleet modernization, on Monday, April 6, in Čačak, the Post of Serbia also handed over 70 new delivery vehicles for the specialized delivery of Post Express shipments.

The Post of Serbia acquired its first electric vehicles in 2023. Similar purchases are common in the region, including by Croatian postal operator Hrvatska Pošta.
