Serbian Ministry of mining and energy published a call for the financing of the local government`s public buildings energy efficiency improvements projects.

Projects will be financed by EUR 0,2 million from the Energy efficiency fund (the Fund) and EUR 0,46 million provided by the Global Environmental Fund (GEF).

Each one of the project proposals can receive up to 22 percent of its total value, or up to EUR 20,000 from the government`s Fund, and up to 50 percent or EUR 46,000 (VAT-free) from the GEF.

The main goal of the investment is to “improve energy and financial efficiency in the public buildings under the jurisdiction of the local governments”, as published on the Ministry`s website.

Only the local governments, with one project each, can apply for the financing. The final date for applications is November 24.
