Ivicom to develop Krivača wind park

Ivicom Energy d.o.o. from Žagubica, part of Ivicom Energy GmbH of Austria, said it is investing in building a wind power park Krivača, in Braničevo district in eastern Serbia. The facility is designed for the capacity of 103.3 MW. Commissioning is scheduled for November 2017.

Ivicom’s domestic subsidiary was established in 2009 for the research of wind energy potentials and development of wind power plant projects in the country. Since then, it has performed measurements of the energy potential in the municipality of Golubac. Results showed the turbines should be placed on hilltops Golo brdo, Veliko Cerje, Malo Cerje, and Veliki Klokočar in the northern part of the site, and Čuka Tilva, Debelo brdo, and Krivačka Tilva in the south.

Electrical energy will be distributed through Krivača, a new substation planned to be connected to substations in the municipality of Veliko Gradište and Neresnica in Kučevo, after 110 kV two new power lines are finished. Serbia’s Ministry of Mining and Energy revealed in mid-April it filled the capacity of 500 MW envisaged for electricity from wind turbines. Then the Government of Serbia regulated incentives for renewables in mid-June and boosted stimulation for producers of electrical energy from renewable sources and power and heat in high efficiency cogeneration.

Ivicom, founded in 1991, is headquartered in Vienna and specializes in engineering, consulting and project management services. It established an office in Montenegro in 2008. The company has a branch office in the Croatian capital of Zagreb.

So far, the company has invested in WPPs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Croatia’s Ivicom got a concession for a 40 MW wind park, and in Montenegro, where on Možura plateau near the Adriatic port of Bar preparatory works for a wind farm have begun. Another wind power plant, in Krnovo in northeastern Montenegro, is a joint project with Akuo Energy from France and Ivicom Consulting. The facility should be completed by early October if weather conditions are good. The contract implies the capacity of up to 46 MW.
