Renewables generate 39% of total power in July

Montenegrin power market operator COTEE  stated total electricity generation in July was 212 GWh, out of which 82 GWh or 39% was from renewable sources.

The regular report said three units managed by the Montenegrin Electric Power Company (EPCG) generated 210 GWh.  Hydropower plant (HPP) Perućica delivered 41 GWh, HPP Piva gave 39 GWH, while thermal power plant Pljevlja produced 130 GWh. Small hydropower plants generated 2 GWh.

EPCG announced that on September 5, after the completion of an overhaul, the filling of water system of Perućica will start. Operations include channels, the reservoir and tunnels, followed by the filling of pipelines and tests the next day. The company warned local residents of possible danger. On September 7, production in Perućica will be relaunched.
