The Republic of Srpska has issued two separate public calls for 50-year concession deals to build an 80 MW solar power plant and a 39.6 MW wind farm, both called Planik, in the municipality of Bileća.

The Ministry of Energy and Mining today invited firms interested in building the Planik solar power plant and wind farm to submit bids within 60 days.

The wind farm is projected to have an annual electricity output of 106 GWh and the solar park, 93 GWh.

The procedure to award the concessions was initiated by a Bileća-registered firm called B&B sunce i vjetar. In the bid evaluation process, the initiator will get a bonus of up to 10% on all points earned by its offer, according to the public calls.

The solar power plant is to be built on about 85.4 hectares of land, and the wind farm on 6,000 square meters, both in the area of Veliki Planik and Mali Planik.

The combined investment is estimated at about EUR 120 million

The estimated value of the investments is EUR 68 million for the solar power plant and EUR 50 million for the wind farm, according to the public calls.

The minimum concession fee is a one-off EUR 342,000 for the solar park and EUR 253,000 for the wind farm, plus BAM 0.0055 (about EUR 0.0028) per kWh of electricity produced during operation.

The one-off concession fee will be determined for each bidder individually based on the proposed investment, according to the invitations.
