HEP Group, Croatian state-owned power utility, said it launched its seventeenth ELEN electric car charging station. The inauguration ceremony in Krapina, town in northern Croatia, was attended by municipality officials and the company’s eMobility (eMobilnost) project representatives. The town provided the parking place and HEP delivered and installed the charging station. Total worth of this investment is HRK 70,000 (EUR 9,326), the statement said.

The new facility enables charging of two vehicles simultaneously and the charging period is from one to four hours. Charging is free for now, but it is possible only with an RFID identification card. In the development stage of the project, the station will be used for technology testing and customers’ habits monitoring for the purpose of preparing an adequate model of payment system and switching to commercial stage.
