Successful implementation of the wind power plant project of Možura should be an additional incentive for the dynamics and diversification of relations between Montenegro and Malta, Milo Đukanović said. The prime minister of Montenegro came to the island country for a return visit and met his counterpart Joseph Muscat. The Možura endeavour is first of its kind in bilateral relations, in energy as a very important sector, especially for the Balkan country, as it is developing its first two facilities for power from renewable sources, according to Đukanović.
Muscat said final work on administration procedures is underway, with expectations that construction in the project financed by Maltese company Enemalta Plc will be launched maybe even within days. Đukanović added the first EUR 15 million of the overall EUR 80 million is already allocated and that the last segment of paperwork for the start of works is being completed. According to information at hand, the construction may finish within 18 months.
Muscat specified the longevity of bureaucratic procedures does not imply there are difficulties – rather that some logistical points take more time, especially in relation the transport of equipment.
