Electric vehicle producer Tesla has started expanding its network of EV chargers called Superchargers by offering free installation and maintenance to anyone who secures a suitable location.

The United States–based company started selling its vehicles in Croatia five months ago. When he announced the move in 2019, co-founder and CEO Elon Musk said that famous scientist Nikola Tesla would be proud. The company also plans to open a store in Serbia.

Electrify Your Business – Become a Supercharger Site Host

Tesla put Croatia on the list of countries in which it intends to expand its network of Superchargers. The company launched the slogan Electrify Your Business – Become a Supercharger Site Host and called on interested parties to apply by May 30.

Ideal locations for installation are those with eight or more individual parking stalls

According to Tesla, ideal hosting sites can support eight or more individual parking stalls and provide a hospitable experience for customers with amenities such as restaurants, groceries, shops, restrooms and Wi-Fi connection.

The site selection is based on market expansion needs, as well as popular routes and destinations, the electric car maker said.

Superchargers bring new and loyal customers to a certain location

Tesla noted its vehicles are equipped with in-car navigation that can direct drivers to nearby Superchargers. The company said it maintains the facilities completely and that there is no extra upkeep or hassle.

Tesla has 44 e-chargers in Croatia

Tesla manages the construction of Superchargers. The automotive giant added the installation process itself is fast and efficient.

Tesla has more than 600 charging locations in Europe, and 44 Superchargers in eight locations in Croatia.
