China’s SDIC Power plans to build a 170 MW wind farm worth USD 300 million in Turkey’s Aegean provinces of Aydim and Manisa together with SGI Holding, Daily Sabah has reported.

The licensing and bureaucratic processes related to the investment SDIC Power plans have been completed, the daily wrote, adding that SDIC Power is expected to announce the details of its planned facilities in Turkey in the coming days.

At the same time, electric bus manufacturer Bozankaya’s research and technological development manager, Dursun Cicek, said that the Chinese state-owned company which is “the world’s largest manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries” seeks to invest in Turkey.

“The company, manufacturing tailor-made batteries for our buses, wants to produce in Turkey. We are still in talks. The size of the investment will be around EUR 60 million. We will export a significant portion of production to Europe,” Cicek was quoted as saying.
