The 11th edition of the SE Europe Energy Dialogue (SEEED), organized by Institute of Energy for South-East (SE) Europe (IENE) and under the auspices of Greece’s Ministry of Environment and Energy, will be held in Thessaloniki on June 26-27.
The purpose of this regional forum (Conference Programme and Confirmed Speakers), which is being organized with the support of leading international and regional organizations and major energy companies, is to bring together high-ranking government officials, senior business executives and energy experts from all countries of South-East Europe and beyond.
The special theme for this year’s SEEED is Energy Market Transition and Energy Security in SE Europe, signifying the state of flux that characterizes regional energy markets today and the emergence of energy security as a topic of prime importance for energy policy, the IENE said in a press release.
IENE’s major review paper on SE Europe’s Energy Transition will be also presented during the two-day event.
By organising this year’s SE Europe Energy Dialogue in Thessaloniki IENE aspires to contribute once again to a high level discussion on the region’s key energy issues but also act as a facilitator for much needed cooperation between suppliers and consumers and thus promote the role of SE Europe as a vital East-West, North-South energy bridge, according to IENE’s statement.
The last year’s edition of the SEEED, which is traditionally organized in Thessaloniki, was held in Belgrade on June 13-14.
