Prague-based software maker Unicorn is organizing a free webinar on power scheduling. It is meant for energy traders, market participants and other professionals in the sector who are looking to automate their scheduling processes and integrate new markets efficiently.

In today’s dynamic energy landscape, the demand for swift and effective power scheduling solutions is greater than ever, Unicorn said in its invitation to a free webinar. The event, scheduled for March 19 at 14:00 CET, is focused on process automation.

The webinar is for energy traders, market participants obligated to nominate planned power flows to transmission system operators – TSOs and energy professionals such as the ones involved in power generation and distribution. They will get insights into optimizing power flows and integrating new power markets efficiently, according to the Czech company.

Participants can register on its website, where more information is available.

“As regulatory obligations increase and new markets emerge, the need for streamlined processes becomes imperative. Unicorn’s webinar aims to address these challenges head-on and help attendees to improve comprehensive understanding of power scheduling and increase its automation,” the firm said.

Webinar to cover role of program-responsible parties

Unicorn is a software provider based in Prague with a track record going back more than 25 years. It is delivering solutions for the European energy sector from interconnector and capacity allocation platforms and market management systems to energy trading and e-mobility.

The company noted that its clients include E.ON, Innogy, Veolia and Motor Oil Renewable Energy (MORE). It serves large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, small and family offices and end users.

Unicorn said the webinar would cover the role of program-responsible parties and discover strategies to automate scheduling processes, ensuring swift and accurate nominations of planned power flows to TSOs.

Effectively integrating power markets, platforms

The participants will be able to explore methods for effectively integrating power markets and platforms into existing systems, enabling seamless operations across diverse trading environments, the announcement reads.

Unicorn said its Enterprise Hub Manager Tomáš Koldcsiter is tasked with presenting cutting-edge optimization solutions for power scheduling processes and facilitating rapid market expansion. He specializes in IT solutions for the energy industry.

Koldcsiter took part in the management and development of trading systems at NET4GAS. Notably, he was responsible for the implementation of the European Commission’s regulations amending transparency requirements in trading and methods of gas system capacity allocation throughout the European Union.

Unicorn’s representative works in the analysis and design of trading and risk solutions and focuses on the development of products not only for the energy market but for the entire enterprise segment.
