The contract for the supply of wind turbines and rotors for the Zadar VI Extension onshore wind power plant in Croatia was awarded to Siemens. The wind farm, planned for 2017, will have total 44,2 MW of installed capacity.

Commissioning of the power plant is planned for summer 2017. The contract between Siemens and the investor, company Postak d.o.o from Zagreb, Croatia, includes delivering, installation and long-term service agreement with Siemens until 2031.

Siemens will deliver and install 13 SWT-3.4-108 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.4 MW and a 108-meter rotor diameter. Siemens wind turbines will be installed on 79,5 meters steel towers.

The design solution for the power plant is optimized for moderate to high wind speeds at the location in the Lika region, exposed to the northwest winds that come across the mountains.

Turbines are equipped with Siemens NetConcerter system for turbine`s flexible response to voltage and frequency control, reports the company website.

In 2011, Siemens has delivered turbines forZD 2 and ZD 3 projects near Zadar, with capacity of 36,8 MW.
